In Defence of Graffiti

Today, I'm going to talk about some of my favourite works of graffiti. (Specifically those done by Banksy) Yeah sure, some may say it looks tacky or makes an area look rough and I accept that. Some graffiti isn't too great and looks a mess. But a lot of graffiti is so much more than that. Graffiti is the voice of the people. It is probably the most influential form of art in my opinion.

Banksy is an English-based graffiti artist. If you know anything about graffiti, you've probably heard of him. His art is fantastic. His cynical humor and artistic ability combine to form such great works of art.

He is notorious for his political baseed street art. He uses graffiti as a way to protest and speak his opinions.
"We can't do anything to change the world until capitalism crumbles. In the meantime we should all go shopping to console ourselves."
— Banksy, Wall and Piece

I think he's just fantastic, I only wish the graffiti near me was half as great.

So what do you think? Do you love or hate graffiti?

Best wishes,
Czara.
